Initially the idea was a music festival and fund raiser for the school. As we thought about it more, especially after looking into securing a band such as Tenth Avenue North, we realized that this planned festival could be more of a “Faith Raiser”. The lyrics of Tenth Avenue North conveyed every aspect of the bands ministry to make Faith in Jesus Christ the message. The value would come in the form of opening new eyes to the light of Grace and not through monetary means. We all believe that by following the teachings of God, we all will live a better and more meaningful life today and for eternity.
When it comes to music with a Christian message, bands such as Tenth Avenue North, Addison Road, The Sonflowerz and Cadence resonate melodic reminders of what God has done and what He has planned for each and every one of us.
The Mission of this event is to “Introduce a friend, relative or neighbor to a celebration of Jesus Christ”. The Goal is “Bringing one friend or more and introducing them to a celebration of Jesus Christ. “The event is a non-threatening venue that will highlight the fellowship of the congregation and the school. Please participate in the goal! The person that you bring may be just beginning their journey.
With inspirational music and the power of fellowship as the bond, a family can build stronger connections with God, thus giving stronger ties with family. Maybe someone will be so moved by the experience, that they connect or reconnect themselves with a church. Maybe the day will open someone’s ears to enjoy Faith-based music for the first time in their lives.
These results are what we consider “Funds”. The “Funds” that truly count. Join us and be a part of the 2010 Trinity Spirit Festival and “Get ready to be moved!”
Yours in Christ,
The Trinity Spirit Festival Planning Committee
